Valentine’s Day ideas and gifts

Posted by vijay.sharma | Posted in Festival/Events | Posted on 16-01-2012

Valentine’s Day is celebrated on 14th February every year in the memory of St Valentine, who is better recognized as the patron saint of all the lovers. It is a day on which lovers express their feeling through greeting cards, presents, chocolates etc. We all want this day to be special; therefore we need to plan it in a special way.

Most popular ways of celebrating Valentine’s Day are:

  • Romantic Date: Go out and woo your love by arranging a romantic date with your lover. On this day we can easily find parks, restaurants, discotheques all filled up with lovers holding hands and expressing love. So, go ahead and plan the romantic date for your love and share those precious love moments together.
  • Romantic Dinner: Love can also be expressed this Valentine’s Day by arranging a romantic dinner for your loved one. Guys can express their love by cooking some surprise stuff like cakes with a romantic message on it.
  • Share love through cards: You can share your love through cards and other creative forms of art. If you are running out of ideas, then a simple letter with “I love you” can make Valentine’s Day special for your love.
  • Spread joys through flowers: Flowers can refresh the love between partners. Roses, which are considered as Flower of Love,  make your partner feel special. So, decorate your home with flowers and let your partner know that you love her.
  • Spend quality time with a theatre show: Arrange for a romantic movie that you would enjoy watching together. Spend those precious moments with your love and a romantic movie.

New year brings new hope and dreams!

1st January is the day that marks the time of the beginning of a new year, different cultures celebrate this day in their own way. However the idea behind celebrating this day is same, i.e. being joyful and cheerful in order to carry forward the same throughout the year. Past always remains as history, and no matter how much important the precious year holds for us we all would like to move ahead cheerfully.

Surprisingly, yet again we have come to the end of another year. Now that, we are slowly approaching towards the end of 2011, we realize the accomplishments, failure, happiness and grievances during the year. It seems that the year went by pretty fast.

So, that we are now heading towards a new year, we must be having some new plans, aspirations and dreams as well. Things that we could not achieve in the past, things that we always wanted to achieve, something new, something out of the box. Some great person once said, “If you want your dreams to come true, you need to wake up.”

We all have dreams regarding something or the other; a future position, a future goal that we’d like to achieve. It’s important to be realistic while aiming what we would like to achieve and at the same time its important to plan and execute the same. As we all know that, “It’s a good idea to implement a good idea.” On this note let us all unite in making this New Year a prosperous one, through spreading happiness and love. May this New Year bring many opportunities to your way, to explore every joy of life & may your resolutions for the days ahead stay firm, turning all your dreams into reality and all your efforts into great achievements. Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.

Santa where is my gift :)

Posted by vijay.sharma | Posted in Festival/Events | Posted on 05-12-2011

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout I’m telling you why Santa Claus is coming to night :). Yes! It’s December the month of Christmas, the month of Presents. Talking about presents, I look back to our school days, where we were asked to buy presents and the same was randomly distributed among our friends. The idea behind this is to spread the message of love through sharing.
We certainly love to receive gifts but there is more joy in giving. The best present, I suppose would be by spreading Love among our self. Something similar taught us in school days. Gift show affection to the people that are loved and gifts are given for a reason. The object that is in my box is a gift that is known the world over and can travel every place around the world. It is used by virtually everyone. It also helps bringing people closer together.
We all remember, O Henry’s “The Gift of Magi” in which a poor, loving young husband and wife sell their only valuable things they own to give each other special Christmas gifts. Read the rest of this entry »
