Nice to see the old photos. But there are some mistakes, one has been pointed out that it is St.Andrew’s Church and not the Cathedral Church. Another thing you mentioned about the picture of the building on the right with an UK flag which is not correct. It is an US flag flying over the building as it was used as a recreation centre for American GI’s during the war period.

Nice photo. But this shows St. Andrew’s Church from Old Court House street. This is not St. John’s, nor the cathedral church (St. Paul’s).

Rahul this is awesome work…my best wishes!!
one think i’d like to point out…may be unintentionally, u hv mentioned that Binoy, Badal and Dinesh had killed the inspector general prisons…but that’s not all about it…Binoy and Badal had shot themselves dead and Dinesh ws captured alive and later hanged…he was a martyr…the way it’s written in that note above, might give an impression to many that they were no more than terrorists!…the daring attack on Writers’ Building carried out by the trio had shaken up the entire British establishment in India then and had a deep impact on the British administration in Bengal thereafter…my request please make a correction in the above note…i’d really be grateful….
it’s a great initiative on ur part…am really looking forward to some more of such work

Damn! I am missing the Tram! At this rate, Kolkata will have no heritage to boast of. These political a$$-holes suck. For the sake or petty Union culture and profit-making and corrupt attitude, a lot of Calcuttan heritage is gone.
