Use MS Calculator for Internet Access

Have you ever tried MS Calculator as a Web Browser? Well here is a funny way to do so…

Step 1: Go to Start Menu –>  All Programs –> Accessories –> Calculator


Go to Start Menu –> Run –> Type ‘calc’ and press enter

Step 2: After you see the Calculator, press F1 (Function 1) Key

Step 3: After you see the help window.

Click on the ‘Question Mark’ placed on the top left corner.

Step 4: Then Click on  ‘Jump to URL’

Step 5: Then type your address in the following syntax:

!!!Remember http:// is necessary

You have an extra web browser now. 😛 Have fun surfing. 😀

  1. That was an interesting wlog Sujit. But somewhere you missed to mention that it works ONLY on WIN XP platform.

    In addition to Calc, users can try the same process on any basic windows application (i.e., notepad, ms-paint, etc) to browse web.

    However, on the other hand: Browsing internet could be easier if you follow steps below –
    1. Start Menu
    2. RUN
    3. Enter the URL 😉

    It will open the entered website in HTML help. If your firewall allows HTML Help to access internet.
